A possible solution to the energy problem.

Satellites in the polar orbit with solar collecting arrays putting energy into super conducting coils on the dark side of the satellite.

When satellites pass over north and south poles energy will be transfered to super conducting coils at sites cold enough that super conducting properties will exist and then transfered to sites around the globe as needed.

Interesting idea, but do you realise that the current highest-temperature superconductors operate at -135 celsius. Antarctica is cold, but it isn't that cold...
